SEN Teacher - The Role:

The appointed SEN Teacher will play a key role in a Total Communication nurturing class, teaching both individual students and small groups within the Reception - Year 1 cohort. This role involves fostering learning and development for children, many of whom are non-verbal and communicate using sign language. You will be supported by a dedicated team of proactive and passionate SEN teaching assistants who share a strong commitment to helping children with SEN needs.

The ideal candidate will possess QTS and have prior experience working with SEN students. They must be positive, solution-focused, and a team player. A calm and passionate demeanour is essential, as the role involves being emotionally present for the children, supporting their emotional regulation, and nurturing their overall well-being.
